A cursory glance of the Internet Movie Database has revealed that there will be a Futurama movie in 2007! The information was updated on IMDb on July 17. Hopefully, this is true.

mark, a serious question for you... i've become interested in this whole "podcast" business, and as my resident intellectual property expert, i thought i'd ask you...

what's the legality of creating podcasts with copyrighted music in them?

Music in a podcast that's broadcast on the Internet would constitute a public performance and would be subject to statutory licensing fees like any other public performance. Unless, of course, the music is in the public domain.

Are you interested in starting a podcast? Because people have been saying that I should do a podcast of the old blog here. Or something like that.

what is a podcast? sounds gross.

i would be interested in starting/participating in a podcast. i have no idea what it would be about, or if anyone would want to listen. but we all have blogs, right... and who cares about that?

WHAT IS A PODCAST??!!!

A "podcast" is an audio broadcast which is put on the Internet to be downloaded to an iPod or other portable MP3 player. Podcasts are great ways for small and/or independent personalities to get their voices out there. Surprisingly, lots of large broadcasters have caught on to podcasting, and now you can get podcasts of anyone from Rush Limbaugh to Al Franken. You can even get podcasts from Oyez, which maintains audio archives of Supreme Court arguments.
