The Literature section will be a repository for interesting things I find that were written by other people. As it is, I already have an interesting collection of stuff, but no one else can read these interesting things. Now, they can!
All of the literature in this section comes in PDF format. As you undoubtedly already know, reading the PDF format requires the Adobe Acrobat Reader.
Assorted Quotations - a list of quotations I've accumulated over the years that I think are poignant.
George Orwell, "Politics and the English Language" - this essay from 1945 talks about the proper and improper uses of language. It can be used to communicate ideas well, or it can be used to confuse and oppress.
Cory Doctorow, "Microsoft DRM Talk" - the now-famous lecture given by Cory Doctorow is available in regular old PDF format. Doctorow talks to Microsoft engineers about why DRM hinders innovation and is even a bad business idea.
The Ten Ox-Herding Pictures - available in many forms, I've included the text of one version with the pictures from another. The Ox-Herding Pictures are a visual description of the process of acheiving enlightenment according to Zen Buddhists.
