Birthday party, September 25
Matt prepares for the party by drawing a skull on the ALCOHOL helmet. The helmet is a Honda motorcycle helmet made better with the application of an anagramed "LOCAL H" sticker.

When we arrived at the party, a point-of-sale Red Bull cooler had been converted into a beer bong with the addition of Frank the Tank's two-story, double-ended tubing. The Red Bull cooler holds the liquid of about 120 cans of Keystone. What does this mean? Well, it means that after sucking down several quarts of beer in a second, the beer immediately comes back up. The stomach can't take in that much liquid so fast. Awesome!

This is Katy wearing the ALCOHOL helmet. Doesn't she look cute?
This is me wearing the ALCOHOL helmet. Don't I look cute?
This is Wes wearing the ALCOHOL helmet. He decided it would be a good idea to test the helmet by ramming his head against this post. Later on, people punched him in the head. The ALCOHOL helmet is still at large.

Ant invasion! Ants occupied the front stairs of Bishop Hall for several hours. We could neither enter nor leave. Hopefully, when the ant overlords come to kill us, they won't remember how we called the maintenance people to have these ants killed.
Matt plays the banjo.

Darth Vader and friend.
Many years ago, Vincent Price created a human being in his laboratory high on top of a hill. He died before he could complete the creature, resulting in . . . Edward Forty-hands!
Fall, 2004
Man, fall is pretty around here. So I took some pictures!

This is the view from outside the front door of Bishop Hall. Pay attention to the tree on the left-hand side. It will become important later. This picture was taken on September 27. Even though fall had officially begun, there was still quite a bit of warmth in the air.
This is what the Academic Quad looked like on October 8.

This is a really cool tree. October 11.
Remember that tree I told you to pay attention to? Well, it's October 12 now, and the leaves at the ends of the branches have started to turn red.
Twelve days later, on October 24, the tree has gone from green with red tips to completely yellow!
On October 24, we paid a visit to Hueston Woods, a nearby state park, to drink in the last, beauteous parts of fall. These three people are not the beauteous parts of fall.
Everything's gone and turned yellow!
Hueston Woods has a lake that looks quite spectacular against the backdrop of the red-and-yellow trees. It's hard to get all of the lake in one shot, so I assembled a panoramic shot of the lake. Click here to view the panorama of the lake (118K JPG, 4432 x 348).
